Iron Maiden veteran cited Brazilian from Angra, Shaman and Viper as one of the voices that inspire him most, alongside Chris Cornell and Tom Jones
Bruce Dickinson cited Andrew Matos as one of the voices he most admires. The statement was made to the Songfacts. Asked which modern metal singers would inspire them the most, the English musician cited Chris Cornell and also the Brazilian, known for projects such as Angra, Viper It is Shaman:

“Singers who, in general, are no longer with us. Chris Cornell had one of the best voices I’ve ever heard, among all generations. And unfortunately he’s gone”, said the veteran, quoting André Matos below:
“The guy from Angra [Andre Matos], is also gone. So, all these guys that are gone, they really had the ability to move people. They could scream like the best, but they had the ability to move people with their voices.”

Dickinson also scored the track “You Know My Name”, by Chris Cornell, the theme of 007 – Casino Royale as a great vocal performance, in addition to pointing out Tom Jonesoutside of metal, like a “fabulous” voice.
