In an interview with Rolling Stone Brasil, Simon Rix spoke about Kaiser Chiefs’ new album — ‘Easy Eighth’ — and explained why he named the track ‘Noel Groove’
Noel Gallagher and his sharp tongue reached the Kaiser Chiefs one more time. In 2008, the Oasis I was still active and watched new bands rise to success, but I didn’t sympathize with all of them. “The worst thing about them is that they’re not very good,” he said. Gallagher about the group formed in Leeds, in the United Kingdom.
It even left for the girlfriends of the band members — formed until then by Ricky Wilson, Andrew “Whitey” White, Simon Rix, Nick Baines It is Nick Hodgson: “They play in costume and sit atop a pinnacle of insignificance. They mean nothing to anyone except their damn ugly girlfriends,” he added Santa (via NME).
In an interview with The Sun (via NME), Andrew White said that Gallagher He’s a “bitter old man”. “We don’t have time for him. Music is art, but he doesn’t like music for what it is”, he replied. Whitey.
On another occasion, Santa made an exaggerated comparison: “I used drugs for 18 years and I never got to the point where I said, ‘You know what? Kaiser Chiefs it’s brilliant'”. The then drummer of the English group, Nick Hodgsonhe stated in conversation with BBC Newsbeat who was not offended. “When I was 17 and Santa talked about the BlurI was watching, and now, at 30, while he, at 50, is talking about us, it’s brilliant,” he responded at the time (via NME).
None of this prevented the Kaiser Chiefs made a mention of the formerOasis on a track from the new album, Kaiser Chiefs’Easy Eighth Album. In an interview with Rolling Stone Brazilthe bassist Simon Rix he confessed that he wanted to give the song another name, but his band partners stopped him.
“It’s called ‘Noel Groove’ because when we write songs, I record them, then we rehearse, and I record everything on my computer, and then I go through everything, like, ‘This part is good, that song is good, these two bars it’s whatever, these chords, this is good, that’s bad’… But I have to label everything, so everything is called like “Funk Jam 2″ or whatever”, he explained. “Sometimes, if Ricky is singing, it could be something he is singing. So I have to name everything.”
For some reason, I think because we were talking about the Noel Gallagher In rehearsal, I labeled it “Noel Groove”, and then it stuck. I was desperate not to call it “Noel Groove”, because I knew I would be doing interviews, and people would ask, why is it called “Noel Groove”, and I wouldn’t have a good reason. So I wanted to call it “In Another Lifetime” — I think that’s a good name — or “Lighting With Intent,” which I didn’t like as much, but I thought it was ok. Both are lyrics from the song, but no one let me change it, so it’s still called “Noel Groove”, and now it’s too late.

The relationship of Kaiser Chiefs with Liam Gallagher It’s not much better. In 2019, the brother of Santa canceled the performance at the festival Fall in Loveclaiming there were “safety issues with the stage”. Peanutnickname of the keyboardist of Kaiser Chiefsdid not like the positioning of Liam and argued, “If we found out a stage wasn’t safe, we’d tell the other bands there too, right? ‘Safety comes first, as always’ — for everyone. We must have broken the stage doing a rock and roll show 30 minutes before you.”
If we found out a stage wasn’t safe, we’d tell the other bands on there too, right? ‘Safety comes first as always’ – for everyone. We must’ve broken it by putting on a rock n roll show 30mins before you 🤷🏻♂️ #fallinlovefesthttps://t.co/9LMwqkmNoh

Peanut received back: “This is for the ass of the Kaiser Chiefs: All that money you spend on accessories like your weird head, I’d spend it on a decent tour agent who can spot this kind of thing, otherwise you and your band will leave early.” In another tweet, Liam added: “PS: It’s arseholes like you who give Leeds a bad name.”
This 1s for PISSFLAP out of the KAISER CHIFFS all that money you spend on props ie your daft looking head I’d spend on getting yourself a decent tour manager who spots these kind of things otherwise you and your band will be going for an early bath LG x
