Last Thursday (29th), Jonga announced that his first two albums would be released on vinyl. It’s about records Heresy2017 and The boy who wanted to be God2018.
The license is the responsibility of the Rocinante Três Selos project, a partnership between the Rocinante factory, Três Selos and Tropicália Discos. The 180g vinyl reissues come with a simple hardcover, special sleeve, postcard and obi.
The two LPs are available exclusively on the project’s website and are sold for R$170.00 each.
Heresia, the debut album by rapper Djonga from Minas Gerais, was released in 2017 and already contained a huge amount of reflections, criticisms and street poetry. Social inequality, racism, drugs, sex and crime are some of the themes covered by the rapper, who fleetingly explores his large catalog of references, stories, scenarios and characters through his rhymes.
A year after Heresia, Djonga returned with O Menino que Queria Ser Deus, an even bigger success than his debut. In his second album, the Minas Gerais rapper delved even deeper into his personal life in search of maturity and evolution.
