Macabre event from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory could inspire horror film

Last week, a series of videos about an unofficial event in the universe of The fantastic chocolate factory went viral. The reason was the disappointing organization of the attraction, a supposed “immersive experience” based on the film. However, the impressive preview images released, generated by artificial intelligence, in no way corresponded to the location itself: a poorly decorated warehouse, with programming and characters of dubious taste and even frightening.

It was the case of The Unknown (“The Unknown”), non-canonical character from the story of Willy Wonka, who scared children and their parents when he came out from behind a mirror, wearing a macabre metallic mask. Most shocking among the event’s attractions, it must now get its own horror film.

The information is from Bloody Disgusting (via Collider), which reports that a Scottish producer, Kaledonia Pictures, I would already be interested in creating a story for the frightening figure. According to the company, the film is planning production and a release in 2024.

The plot would follow “the story of a renowned illustrator and his wife, haunted by the tragic death of their son Charlie. Desperate to escape their grief, the couple leave their world behind for the Scottish countryside – where an unknown evil awaits them.”

At first, the film will have no official relationship with the universe of The fantastic chocolate factory. The statement also did not announce who would be involved with the project.
