Last Tuesday (5), the singer Camila Cabello participated in the podcast Call her dad and talked about his career and decision to leave Fifth Harmony in 2016.
She said that she no longer felt aligned with the group and that, when she started writing songs, she felt the desire to sing her own compositions.
“I remember waking up during the tour and going to my hotel room around 7 in the morning. […] and writing songs, because I didn’t want to do it while everyone else was around and I had so much passion that it turned into writing. And at first I thought, ‘Oh, maybe I want to write for other people.’ But then it became like, “No, I actually want to sing these songs myself.”He said.
“I started to drift away from the vision of the group, and it felt like they were still very passionate and involved, and then I thought, ‘I’m not happy here anymore, I don’t feel aligned.’ […] I feel like I can really focus and remember the really joyful moments. And I grew up a lot in that group“, He added.
