Francisco El Hombre presents “Triste, Louca ou Má” a special performance that pays homage to female strength and diversity
It’s been a while since Pharrell Williams and Miley Cyrus released a song together – they previously worked together on the song “Come Get It Bae” from 2014’s “Girl” album. But now the duo is new together on “Doctor (Work) It’s out)”.
In an interview with Apple Music platform 1, the musicians revealed that “Doctor (Work It Out)” actually dates back to 2012.
“But we knew it was too early to launch at that time,” Williams said. “There’s a moment when you feel like something has potential, but maybe you feel like the environment isn’t ready for it.”
Cyrus adds, “We’re big believers in timing and everything happening at the right time. During the Grammys, Pharrell and I were talking about releasing this song, we thought now was the perfect time. Sometimes things from our past have more meaning in our present. So this song, the nature, the celebration, the feeling, especially with the music video, the joy, the dancing, the letting go, this is what this song has always needed.”
“Doctor (Work It Out)” is Miley Cyrus’ first new song since the storied singer won Best Pop and Recording Solo Performance of the Year at the 2024 Grammy Awards. She won the awards for the lead single from “Endless Summer Vacation”. “, entitled “Flowers”.
