Simply Red celebrate 40 years of career in Rio

Few bands enjoy the success and longevity of Simply red. In 2025, the English group formed in 1985 completes 40 years of a journey considered one of the most successful in world music. To celebrate, the group announces the Simply Red – 40th Anniversary Tour 2025, which will take place on March 12, 2025 at the Rioarena. Tickets are on sale now.

Simply Red were formed in the UK by singer Mick Hucknallse and soon captured the public’s attention. The single Money is too tight to mention, part of the debut album Picture Book, became an instant hit and earned a nomination for the respected Brit Award. Subsequently, 1991’s Stars was the best-selling album for two consecutive years in Britain and Europe. In their 40 years on the road, Simply Red have released 13 albums, all of which have consistently ranked among the UK’s best. Including the latest version, Time, from 2023.

It’s worth mentioning that the last time Simply Red was in Brazil was in 2012 and the members are excited about their return to the country after 13 years. “Simply Red turns 40!
