When Sepultura recently announced the end of their activities, the music market was literally taken by surprise.
One of the most successful Brazilian groups in music history shows no signs of exhaustion. And its international prestige has always remained intact.
But, according to the guitarist Andrea Kissersomething was decisive for the members of the Serious decided to put an end to the group’s activities.
And it all has to do with the new album from the band.
“Everything ends up being involved in the decision. I was under a lot of pressure to make a new Sepultura album. It would be right to do it. I think ‘Quadra’ is still very strong. There’s a lot to do with this. Record a live album etc. .”started Kisser in an interview with Rockast.
And he continued: “Anyway I think everything involves these kinds of decisions. The most important thing is to be at peace with it. Not to think about what could happen. Not to be forced to do certain things. In art freedom is fundamental. Obviously I want to develop also in other areas, to dedicate myself more to the guitar. Doors open to other projects. I don’t have anything defined yet and I don’t want to”concluded the guitarist.
Quadra is Sepultura’s most recent album, released in February 17, 2020 for the BMGOf Nuclear explosion.
