Long before being considered Slipknot’s new drummer in 2003, the then small musician showed his talent on a talk show at the age of 12.
While the Slipknot does not confirm entry Eloy Casagrande for the band, the internet has been remembering other memorable moments of the Brazilian drummer. One of them, rescued this Tuesday (12), shows a little Eloy full of talent.
The excerpt in question shows the participation of Eloy, then 12 years old, in a painting of Is showprogram Adriane Galisteu at Record. On video (see below), he appears to play on a mini drum kit created by his uncle, but ends up demonstrating the skills he had already mastered at the time. Eloy shines, both on professional and miniature drums.
In the excerpt, Eloy, who has been playing since he was 6 years old, appears accompanied by the Brazilian musician and instrumentalist Duda Neves, which introduces him and reinforces the talent of the little musician with the instrument that would make him famous. Check out:

Last Sunday (10), Slipknot gave more impetus to rumors that Eloy would be the group’s new drummer. The band’s official Instagram profile posted a photo of a drumstick Promark broken with the caption: “essay”. One of the musicians sponsored by Promark is Eloy, known for using the instrument with the same pattern.

Eloy Casagrande joining Slipknot has been a source of speculation since his sudden departure from Graveon the eve of the group’s farewell tour.

His announcement followed the dismissal of Jay Weinberg by Slipknot and was not so well received by Sepultura, who criticized Eloy before announcing Greyson Nekrutmanof Suicidal Tendencies for the final tour.
(Ironically, Tendencies would announce ex-Slipknot Jay Weinberg to fill the vacancy left by Nekrutman.)
