In an interview, Scary Spice also spoke about the group’s participation in the Glastonbury festival: “you don’t know if we’re not doing it”
Mel B spoke again about a likely meeting of Spice Girls. In an interview with Hits Radio Breakfast Show (via The International News), the singer, part of the British quintet, gave clues about the group’s likely performance at the festival Glastonburyin June this year.
The provocation comes in response to rumors that the group – also composed of Mel C, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton It is Geri Halliwell – would hold a meeting to celebrate 30 years of its original formation. Fans quickly assumed that the quintet would be announced as one of the headliners of the English festival – rumors that would end up being debunked with the announcement of Shania Twain among the legends in the line-up.

Mel B, Scary Spice, who had already been giving hints about the possible return of the Spice Girls, ended up talking about the subject again in a new interview that aired this Monday (18):
“You don’t know if we’re not doing Glastonbury,” commented the singer. “We’re talking about doing something together – I can’t say what it is because I always get in trouble [por isso]. I don’t want to sink this ship.”
The artist still refused to say more, but added that, if it were up to her, the quintet would enter the studio again.
Last week, Mel B was responsible for reviving Spice Girls fans by revealing on another British program that the singers were “definitely” dealing with something:
“Oh yeah, we’re definitely doing something. They’ll probably tell me to keep quiet, but that’s it. Here we go. We’ll announce something sometime this year. Now I’m going to get in trouble.”

30 years of Spice Girls
The Spice Girls recently celebrated their 30th anniversary with a video that included never-before-seen footage of the five singers’ selection process. In the caption, they said:
“What started in 1994 has turned into an incredible journey, far beyond what any of us could have imagined. Thank you to the fans for supporting us from day one.”
Formed in 1994, the Spice Girls achieved impressive success in the 1990s. In May 1998, the news of Geri Halliwell’s departure would leave a permanent mark on the rest of the group, which would announce the definitive separation in 2000. Subsequently, new reunions were announced on special occasions in 2007, in 2012, for the closing of the London Olympics (see below), and in 2018.
