Brazilian band NX Zero and producer Deadmau5 also joined the festival line-up
Rock in Rio announced 26 new attractions Tuesday night, including the British rapper 21 Wildwho will perform at Palco Mundo on September 13th, the same day that the American Travis Scott and the Brazilian Matuê will perform.
Another novelty in the 2024 edition line-up is the American singer Akon, which will be staged on September 22nd, again on Palco Mundo. That day, in fact, there will be a sort of celebration of the 2000s, with Mariah Carrey, Ne-Yo and Shawn Mendes.
The Brazilian band NXZero, led by Di Ferrero, will perform at the Sunset Stage on September 14. According to the festival organizers, the Sunset, which has always been seen as an alternative space, will have larger dimensions, becoming a second main stage from this edition.
Rock in Rio also announced the presence of the Canadian music producer Deadmau5 on the stage of the New Dance Order.
Rock in Rio, which turns 40 this year, will take place on September 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21 and 22 and will feature attractions such as Cindy Lauper, Kate Perry, Imagine Dragons, OneRepublic, Ed Sheeran, Joss Stone, Gloria Gaynor, Lulu Santos, Iza and Jão. Tickets cost R$795 for the entire category.
