Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Ariana Grande and Olivia Rodrigo are some of the names that appear on the lists of songs and albums with the most streams, downloads and sales
O NME released this Thursday, 4th, the ten biggest songs and the ten biggest albums in the United Kingdom, according to the Official Charts.
Noah Kahan tops both lists. The American singer’s single “Stick Season” went viral at the end of last year and secured 850,000 chart units (sales, streams, downloads…) in 2024 alone. Kahan, which bears the same name as the single, also did well and accumulated 123,000 chart units this year alone. He came out ahead of artists like Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo It is The Weeknd.
Sophie Ellis-Bextorin turn, returned to the charts after “Murder On The Dancefloor” was included on the soundtrack of Saltburn (2023). The best-selling and most downloaded track of 2024, so far, belongs to Beyonce: “Texas Hold ‘Em”.
