: Singer was approached by the PM for irregularities in the vehicle and taken to the PF to investigate a possible tax crime
Singer MC Ryan was arrested this afternoon by the Federal Police (PF) after a police approach in the central area of the capital of São Paulo. The artist’s Ferrari was seized and taken to the PF headquarters to provide clarifications.
Approach and seizure
Officers from the 11th Military Police Battalion approached the singer around 5pm on Avenida do Estado and Rua Cantareira. The Ferrari in which he was traveling was subject to a lien, not yet reported by the police, and was seized.
MC Ryan was then taken to PF headquarters to investigate a possible vehicle stop for a tax offence. After making a statement, he was released around 6.35pm.

Upon leaving the police station, the singer appeared smiling, shouted at the presenter of the “Brasil Urgente” program (“I knew that one day you would film me, Datena!”) and downplayed the incident. “The car? I took a photo and now the car will stay there. The car will leave tomorrow, boss! It’s the colors, the car was black and I left it red (…). There is always persecution against us. I was on business, I made a clip and the police took me. The police didn’t like it, I didn’t put it on the document either, so they brought me here,” he told reporters.
Investigation underway
The SSP-SP (Public Security Secretariat of São Paulo) and the PF have not yet officially commented on the case. In the Brasil Urgente program, broadcast on TV Bandeirantes, Captain Marvin, commander of the Military Police, detailed the line of the investigation: “Now, calmly, the Federal Police will be able to verify exactly the state of the vehicle, or whether there is a restriction because of a crime committed by someone who was in that car, or by some company connected to that car.”
MC Ryan is currently the most successful funk artist in Sao Paulo, which would give him the financial means to buy more than one Ferrari – and indeed he has more than one.
