Ozzy Osbourne wants to build bat shelters at his home in the UK, according to the Buckinghamshire Live (via NME). The rock icon’s idea is to protect the species from predators and the cold.

The singer is moving from Los Angeles, California (United States) to a mansion in Buckinghamshire, England with his wife, Sharon Osbourne. According to Lookhe asked the government for permission to install the shelters.

In addition to the sanctuary for bats, the new residence must have a room prepared to help the star recover – who recently underwent spinal surgery. At the age of 73, he also faces Parkinson’s disease, diagnosed since 2020.

the relationship of Ozzy with animals is ancient. 40 years ago, January 20, 1982, he bit the head of a bat during a concert in the United States. The animal was thrown on stage by a fan, and the singer thought it was a rubber version until he felt the blood in his mouth – as he revealed in his autobiography.

In April, Ozzy Osbourne announced that their new album is ready. The successor album to ordinary man (2020) has been working since December when guitarist Andrew Watt declared that the songs were ‘almost done’. In addition to Watt, Ozzy counted on Robert Trujillo (Metallica) on bass, with Chad Smith (Red hot Chilli Peppers) and with taylor hawkins (Foo Fighters) sharing drums. Hawkins would later die in March, during a tour of South America.

The following month during an appearance on The Graham Norton Radio Showan American comedy program broadcast by BBC, Ozzy stated that the album will be released in September.
