Last Tuesday (16th), the Rock in Rio announced an unprecedented space, the Global Village, which will honor the culture of different continents.
The Brazilian section, which will represent Latin America, will be organized by the Clube do Samba, a group created by João Nogueira, father of Diogo Nogueira. The samba club will be made up exclusively of women, but will welcome guests, including Diogo.
“It is a unique opportunity to share the history and joy of samba with a diverse audience. I am sure it will be unforgettable for all lovers of Brazilian music and culture“, he said.
“The Clube do Samba has always been a movement to bring culture, let’s show it a little through samba, through gastronomy. I am floating, but in the clouds. My father fought hard for this project. Today we have a social project with activities for 150 children. The importance of women in samba is gigantic, Beth, Ivone, Clara, who fought in a male environment. It is important to bring it to Rock in Rio.“, concluded Diogo
