The singer’s widow claims that the heir was manipulated and was in extreme vulnerability
Wilma Petrillo, widow of Gal Costa (1945-2022), has petitioned the court for an urgent psychosocial examination to be carried out on Gabriel Costa. According to her, the singer’s son would have been manipulated by his current girlfriend, who is 33 years older.
The widow said Gabriel stopped attending appointments with a psychiatrist and psychologist after he began a relationship with a 51-year-old woman, the mother of his ex-girlfriend. Petrillo reiterated that he had carried out checks since he was a teenager and asked that the professionals be heard as witnesses to demonstrate a possible situation of extreme vulnerability.
Bullshit goes a long way
Wilma Petrillo’s requests are a response to the legal proceedings initiated by Gabriel, who asks for the nullity of a document he signed which recognized the singer’s stable union. The heir claims to have written the letter only because he was forced by Wilma, with whom he shared the same residence.
Gabriel Costa also supports the thesis that the coercion began after Gal Costa’s death in November 2022, when his widow began taking controlled prescription drugs.
