The tour will start on May 29th in Rio de Janeiro and will pass through the main states of Brazil.
Known for her powerful voice and bold lyrics, singer DAY LIMNS brings her new national tour, “VÊNUS≠neptuno Tour” to the stage. The unprecedented show comes after the artist’s debut on the stages of Lollapalooza Brasil 2024. Bringing all his truth and vulnerability, DAY LIMNS the show is based on the second studio album, “VÊNUS≠neptuno”, an innovative work that promises to redefine the Brazilian Pop/Rock scene. The album is an emotional journey that draws a parallel between the complexity of human relationships, addressing themes such as duality, sacredness, sin and redemption, and will pass through Rio de Janeiro, Porto Alegre, Curtiba, Recife, Belo Horizonte, Fortaleza, Santo André, as well as the capital Sao Paulo.
The tour, which will visit the main capitals of Brazil, will begin on May 29th at the Teatro Claro, in Rio de Janeiro/RJ. “VENUS≠Neptune” addresses the difficulty of reconciling the relationship between earthly and spiritual, sacred and profane, good and evil, etc., but with the eternal attempt to make it work. According to the artist, “VENUS≠neptune” is someone obsessed with romance, idealizing the person he loves to the point of putting her on a pedestal, attributing to her the importance of “a god”, (in our case – goddess) and who, of faced with harsh reality, they encounter real difficulties in dealing with it or simply in accepting it as it is, which leads to disillusionment.
The “VÊNUS≠netuno Tour” is the first tour of the new era of DAY, following their last show inspired by the album “Bem-Vindo ao Clube”, from 2018. Now, with a more rock ‘n roll touch, Goiana invests in powerful chords on the journey of self-liberation, full of anger, passion and a hint of innocence of his previous works.
For DAY, the new show represents an end to the feelings that consumed her, such as the “guilt of never being enough,” that she was taught to feel for so long in her church experience.
“Everything was very close to the surface and the guilt kicked in. They didn’t make me feel like that, but I reacted based on my experience. I thought: ‘I was really bad, I’m rubbish, a cross for that’. person’. I realized that my need to deify someone came very much from that place, from growing up needing salvation.”, explains DAY LIMNS.
