Brazil’s candidate for the 2026 Oscars arrives in North American cinemas from November 26th, a few weeks after its release in Brazilian cinemas. Check it out:

What is the story of The Secret Agent?
In The Secret Agent, Marcelo (Wagner Moura) is a university professor, who flees to Recife to escape government agents who are looking for him for subversive activities. However, upon arriving in the city, where he believes he is safe until he can flee the country with his young son, he discovers that he has been sworn to death by an old enemy.
In addition to Mourathe cast of The Secret Agent still has Maria Fernanda Cândido (Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets), Gabriel Leone (Senna), Alice Carvalho (Cangaço Novo), Isabel Zuaa (The Devil’s Knot), Rubens Santos (Aquarius), Udo Kier (Nighthawk), Thomas Aquinas (Crime DNA), Suzy Lopes (Paloma), Lyre Buddha (Heaviest is the Sky), Carlos Francisco (Mars One), Wilson Rabelo (Bandit: Number One) and Laura Lufési.
