Asked about the inspiration behind the tracks on the new album, band recalled the kidnapping he experienced in 2013 and the diagnosis of Parkinson’s received in 2011. He also confessed that his relationship with his current wife, Shayna Weberwas fundamental to his survival: “She kept me alive over the last decade.”

“That was horrible. If I could go back in time, I would never have done that. I was so young, I was 18 or 19 when it happened, and it was right around the time when our first album came out,” he lamented.

According to the singer, the health issue cost him seven centimeters of his height: “I went through a lot of problems. Like, even before Parkinson’s, I was born with scoliosis.
