“It was a pleasant and intense process to adapt and reorganize the text of the book into the podcast format. In a medium with such a large reach and rich in options like this, the content ends up taking on a new life. In this process, many new stories and reflections about the book’s albums emerged, and they are exclusive to the podcast”, he says Setti.
From the legacy of Lennon to the era of Lana Del Reythe podcast “From vinyl to streaming: 60 years in 60 records” invites listeners to dive into striking and different albums such as soul, funk, hip-hop, punk, post-punk, heavy metal, new wave, indie rock and more. In addition to remembering landmark hits, the program offers an in-depth analysis of music as art, sound and everyday life, while also contextualizing each album within the social, political and historical changes of its decade.
“I know the Setti and his passionate and entertaining oratory about music some twenty years ago. When I met him on his book launch tour, I immediately wanted to know if there would also be a podcast. I was still in the first conversations with Audioink, but there I already signaled to everyone the power of this meeting to make this project happen” says Isabel Lenza, creative director of Audioink.
“We are very excited to open the Audioink podcasts area, with Isabel as creative director and launching high-level content from Daniel Setti at our debut. His research work is very cool and the way he tells stories is a delight to listen to”, concludes Paula Zakia, partner at Audioink.
Episodes air every Monday, on all audio platforms.
