Madonna’s stage in Rio will be bigger than the one used during her world tour


The pop singer’s free show will be held at Copacabana Beach on May 4, starting at 9:45 p.m.

The stage for Madonna’s free show, which will be set up this Monday (22/4) on the sand of Copacabana beach, in Rio de Janeiro, will be twice the size of the stage used during her world tour “The Celebration Tour”. – which takes place in international arenas and stadiums.

In total, the Rio structure will have 812 square meters, of which 24 meters at the front and 18 meters at the ceiling. The floor of the stage is 2.40 meters above the ground to facilitate the audience’s vision of the sand of the beach.

Madonna will also have three catwalks available to perform with the dancers, the central one 22 meters long and the lateral ones 20 meters long each.

Madonna’s free show will take place on May 4th at 9.45pm, in front of the luxury Copacabana Palace hotel. The event will be broadcast live on Globo, Multishow and Globoplay.

The popular event, which marks the end of “The Celebration” tour, will be the biggest show of the pop singer’s career, with more than 1 million people expected and a turnover of R$293 million in the city’s economy.
