‘One Hand Clapping’ will feature Wings tracks, new versions of Beatles songs and even covers
Recorded live in the studio, One Hand Clapping, was never officially released. On June 14, however, that changes. The disk of Wings was made in August 1974, at Abbey Road studios, with a documentary directed by David Litchfield.
“One Hand Clapping presented the new formation of the Wingsrecently arrived from Nashville, where they recorded the classic single ‘Junior’s Farm’”, says a statement sent to the press (via NME). “After the sudden departure of Denny Seiwell It is Henry McCullough the previous year, on the eve of recording the masterpiece of Wings, Band on the Run, Paul, Beautiful It is Denny Laine were accompanied by the guitarist Jimmy McCulloch and the drummer Geoff Britton.”

The note also highlights that the orchestral arranger Del Newman and the saxophonist Howie Casey also joined the band for the recording of the album and later for touring shows.
One Hand Clapping will also feature new versions of classics from Beatles, such as “Let It Be”, “The Long and Winding Road” and “Lady Madonna”. The album will be released in several formats, including an exclusive edition of two LPs + 7″.

The new track “Blackpool”, the b-side of Wings “Country Dreamer”, and covers of “Twenty Flight Rock”, by Eddie Cochranand “Peggy Sue” and “I’m Gonna Love You Too” by Buddy Hollywere added to the album.
