All the material arrives in Rio de Janeiro for the Copacabana show on three planes

The already historic presentation of Madonna TO Copacabana Beach, scheduled for Saturday 4 May, is currently in the editing phase. And this Sunday the first planes arrive with 270 tons of equipment Celebratory ride for the last date of the tour.

All the material arrives divided into 3 cargo planes, which began arriving in Rio de Janeiro this Sunday, the 28th, six days before the show on the beach, according to TV Globo.

The numbers are superlative

The stage structure is 8,122 m², raised 2.40 m from the ground, so that the audience furthest from the artist has the opportunity to see her live, not just on the big screens.

The span of this stage, side to side, is 24 meters (generally large stages are 20 meters side to side) and the ceiling height is 18 metres.

Three walkways will be built connected to the stage so that the Madonna can move among the audience, and an elevator will be built.

Madonna’s production team includes 200 people, who will be housed in 90 rooms.

Also according to TV Globo, three trucks will bring the equipment to the hotel where the singer will stay, to set up 3 gyms.

For the show, the production team separated 45 trunks of clothes for costume changes between the Queen of Pop and the dancers.

Who will open Madonna’s show?

The American DJ Diplo chosen to open the evening with a show starting at 8pm.

The artist, born Thomas Wesley Pentz, is a renowned name in the music scene. Since the beginning of his career he has collaborated with big names such as Justin Bieber, MIA, Sia and Beyoncé.

Among the greatest successes are: Where are you now AND Run the world (girls).

Diplo has a connection to Brazil. He fell in love with the country during his first visit in 2004, when he had his first contact with Rio’s funk dances. Since then, Brazil has become a constant source of inspiration for him, so much so that he collaborates with Brazilian artists such as Anitta, Pabllo Vittar and Deize Tigrona.

What time does the Madonna show start?

The forecast is that Madonna will go on stage in Copacabana at 9.45pm and will last 120 minutes, or two hours. The presentation will be broadcast on TV Globo.
