Anitta has to attend Madonna’s free concert in Rio

The funk singer will take the stage in Rio to sing “Faz Gostoso”, a song recorded with Madonna in mid-2019

Expectations for Madonna’s free megashow on Saturday (4/4) are growing after the singer’s arrival in Brazil. In addition to the actual show, the artist is expected to receive a surprise appearance from Anitta, with whom she previously recorded a song. The information comes from columnist João Paulo Saconi, from the newspaper O Globo.

If there are no unforeseen circumstances, Anitta is expected to go on stage to sing “Faz Gostoso” (2019) with Madonna. This will be the first time the singers have come together to perform the song live. They can even modify a second song, which is not yet defined.

It is worth remembering that the content may undergo changes in the coming days, while the official show will be tested in the rooms of the luxury Copacabana Palace hotel. But sources indicate that Anitta is – indeed – preparing for the mega event.

The main challenges of the surprise appearance are entirely logistical, as the funk singer is expected at the Met Gala, a gala taking place on Monday (4/6) in New York, United States.

Special appearances were rare in the worldwide performances of “The Celebration” tour. One of these was in March this year, when Australian singer Kylie Minogue sang lines from Madonna’s repertoire and from her own career.
