What time does it start and where to watch it: find out the details of Madonna’s TV show

The singer will perform this Saturday evening in Copacabana live on Open TV, Pay TV and streaming

Singer Madonna’s long-awaited show promises to be one of the biggest musical events of the year in Brazil. The presentation, unique in Latin America, will take place on the sand of Copacabana Beach, Rio de Janeiro, on an impressive 812 square meter stage with 24 meters of frontage, with live TV broadcast and streaming throughout Brazil. This performance also marks the end of Madonna’s “The Celebration Tour” world tour.

Live broadcast

Multishow and Globoplay begin coverage at 9.30pm. For those who prefer to watch online, Globoplay will make the event available for free even to non-subscribers, requiring only login to the platform. TV Globo will start broadcasting the show immediately after the telenovela “Renascer”.

Kenya Sade and Marcos Mion will host the broadcast on TV Globo, while Marcus Majella, Laura Vicente and Gui Guedes will be the hosts of Multishow and Globoplay.

The show

The show, which chronicles the pop star’s career in seven acts, will begin at 9.45pm, but it’s worth pointing out that Madonna has delayed several performances during the tour.

The repertoire will include iconic hits such as “Like a Virgin” and “Music”, as well as performances of songs rarely heard live, such as “Nothing Really Matters”, “Erotica” and “Justify My Love”, in a 40-year retrospective of the artist’s journey.

The show will feature Pabllo Vittar, who rehearsed the choreography with Madonna on Thursday and Friday, and Anitta, who arrived in Rio this morning and didn’t have time to rehearse. Additionally, he will pay homage to several famous Brazilians during the songs “Music” and “Live to Tell.”

The event, which also celebrates the centenary of its sponsor, Banco Itaú, has an estimated budget of R$60 million, including a share of R$17 million for Madonna. Sponsorships include contributions of R$10 million from Rio City Hall and R$10 million from the state government.
