The forecast temperature for this Saturday in Rio was 36°C. The street thermometer in front of the Copacabana Palace, where Madonna is staying, was more generous around 3.30pm: just 26°C, almost mild by normal. from Rio.

It was the case of a group of friends who left Campinas and went to Rio specifically for the show. By mid-afternoon they were sitting behind a structure set up for the show, taking advantage of a shaded area.
“I went to take advantage of the fire truck. Plus, lots of water and beer. And the fan!”, commented Cláudia Camacho, 41 years old.
“We went to Saara (a famous shopping area in the center of Rio) and paid little. It cost R$7, here they sell it for R$35?, said Gui Ravardieri. The group seemed very comfortable and not bothered at all the hours of waiting.
The prediction is that 1.5 million people will attend Madonna’s show this Saturday night. All under the small refreshment of the sea spray of the waters of Copacabana.
