Rock in Rio brings together 53 Brazilian artists in music and clips; see how to listen


Names such as Alcione, Ivete Sangalo, Ana Castela, Chitãozinho & Xororó, Ludmilla, Frejat, Jorge Aragão and Roberto Menescal participate in the initiative

Celebrating 40 years of history, the Rock in Rio released the song Let your heart speak, featuring 53 Brazilian artists from funk, metal, trap, bossa nova, rock and pop, to celebrate the country’s musical diversity. These are names like Alcione, Ivete Sangalo, Jão, Ana Castela, Chitãozinho & Xororó, Ludmilla, Frejat, Pedro Sampaio. , Xande de Pilares, Jorge Aragão and Roberto Menescal.

The song, which talks about empathy, respect and reconciliation, is now available on streaming platforms. The clip will be broadcast at 11pm on the festival’s official YouTube channel.

The initiative is defined as “a true anthem that demonstrates that music can still be a powerful tool for redeeming relationships in a country and in a fragmented society”, says Roberto Medina. The recording was made last Monday, the 29th, in Cidade das Artes, in Rio de Janeiro. Listen below:

The 53 artists participating in the song are: Zé Ricardo, Alcione, Ana Castela, Andreas Kisser, Buchecha, Cabelinho, Carlinhos Brown, Chitãozinho & Xororó, Claudio Zoli, Criolo, Daniela Mercury, Diogo Nogueira, Duda Beat, Erica Martins, Fernanda Abreu , Ferrugem, Frejat, Gloria Groove, Hyldon, Ivan Lins, Ivete Sangalo, IZA, Jão, Johnny Hooker, Jorge Aragão, Junior, Livinho, Ludmilla, Luísa Sonza, Luedji Luna, Majur, Marvilla, Mart’nália, MC Daniel, MC Hariel, MC IG, Maria Rita, Margareth Menezes, Orochi, Péricles, Paula Lima, Paulo Xisto, Pedro Sampaio, Rael, Roberto Menescal, Rogério Flausino, Simoninha, Simone Mendes, Tico Santa Cruz, Toni Garrido, Veigh, Xamã and Xande de Pillars.

With each play of the song, the audience contributes to two NGOs supported by the current edition of Rock In Rio, Ação da Cidadania and Gerando Falcões. The artists’ royalties will also be donated to the institutions.
