Worlds of Marvel On The Disney Wish has a fantastic reference to Disneyland and Kevin Feige approves

In any new Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, you can be sure it will be filled with Easter eggs that fans will recognize for a long time. When Disney creates a new attraction for a theme park, it often contains small elements that are reminiscent of previous ones. Aboard Disney’s all-new cruise ship, Disney Wish, these ideas come together in a classic Disneyland Easter egg within a Marvel dining experience.

Worlds of Marvel is one of three dining experiences (excluding $ 5,000 beverage options) that guests aboard Disney Wish will be able to enjoy during their cruise. The story told shows us Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne showing the new Pym Technologies products while eating. The show is called Miracles from Molecules and canny Disney fans will know it’s the name of a song that was used as part of the show. Adventures through the attraction of inner space at Disneyland. I asked Walt Disney Imagineering Worlds of Marvel creative director Danny Handke about the reference, and he told me how the reference came about and how Kevin Feige’s reaction ensured it would be part of the series …

With Miracles from Molecules, the connection between this and Ant-Man felt really great to me. It sounded like something Scott Lang would put into his presentation as an intertitle and theme song. It made sense. And when we offered it to Kevin Feige, he understood that reference perfectly and we knew we had to keep it on the show. I was very happy with it.

“Miracles from Molecules” was written by the Sherman Brothers, the duo of Disney writers responsible for the music behind Mary Poppins as well as many other songs in Disney movies and theme parks. Adventures Thru Inner Space was the Disneyland attraction that existed before Star Tours opened in the 1980s. It “shrunk” guests, such as Pym Particles, so that they could enter a water molecule and see what the world looked like on a microscopic level. .

It is certainly part of the program. “Miracles from Molecules” is a bit mundane as a technical presentation name, so it makes sense that Scott Lang thought it was a great idea. Technically correct, of course, Pym’s tech demo that’s at the heart of the World of Marvel show is, after all, a miraculous way to change molecules. And maybe Scott Lang went to Disneyland decades ago and is a fan of the song.

While we never heard the lyrics of the song (I was hoping Paul Rudd would sing it), the melody is present at various points throughout the show. A new arrangement of the song had to be written, which was historical in itself, as the song was originally arranged only for the attraction of Sherman Brothers Witten. The new version fits perfectly into the Avengers theme.

The Song “Miracles with molecules” is available on Disney soundtracks, so even Disney fans who have never had a chance to experience the attraction, like me, probably know and recognize it. It’s one of the many moments, like Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel’s first appearance together, that makes Worlds of Marvel Adventure so much fun.
