Rolling Stones drummer died on August 24, 2021

Charlie Wattsdrummer of Rolling Stones, will get biography. The book was authorized by the family and the remaining members of the legendary rock band. The musician died at the age of 80 on August 24, 2021.

Charlie’s Good Tonight: The Authorized Biography of Charlie Watts is the name of the project, yet to arrive in Brazil. Release is scheduled for September 15th of this year in the UK, and October 11th in the US.

In addition to text written by Andrew Loog Oldham – former agent and producer of Rolling Stonesproject will have a preface written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richardscompanions of watts in the band.

Paul Sexton is the author of the biography. Among the exclusive contents of the book are interviews with Jagger, Richards and Ronnie Wood. Friends, family and collaborators also sent testimonials about the musician.

“Our dear friend Charlie Watts was not just a fantastic drummer, but a wonderful person. He was funny and generous, a man of great taste. We miss him a lot. It’s great that the family has authorized this official biography of Paul Sextonwho has written and broadcast about Charlie and the band for many years,” the Rolling Stones stated in a note.

Stones Substitute Drummer

Second Richards, Steve Jordantour drummer Rolling Stones, will help the rock band to finish the next record. The musician plays in the live shows of stones since the illness and death of watts on August 24, 2021.

Despite Jordan take the place of the longtime drummer, Richards cleared up the rumors about watts finished work on the band’s next album before passing away: “We have a lot of Charlie Watts still. We were halfway to making an album when he died.”

The guitarist added, stating that if the stones decide to pursue other projects in the future, the tour drummer will take the musician’s place: “Of course, if we want to keep recording, we’re going to need drums, and it will be Steve Jordan [quem ocupará este posto].”
