Jorge Aragão, Planet Hemp and Duquesa and more attractions appear in Salvador
The festival AFROPUNK Brazil exclusively revealed the complete line-up of its eagerly awaited fourth edition. Among the highlights, the samba player Jorge Aragão, celebrating its 75th anniversary, headlines the first day of the festival. The event also has the energy of Planet Hempthe powerful voices of rappers Duchess It is Ebonyin addition to Leo Santana, Timbalada, Silvanno Salles and Evylinand many others on the 9th and 10th of November, at the Salvador Exhibition Park.
On November 9th, the AFROPUNK Brazil opens the work with presentations of Jorge Aragão, Leo Santana, Planet Hemp, Duquesa, Melly and the band Ilê Aiyêwhich invites Virginia Rodrigues, Sisters of Pau and Evylin. On the second day, November 10th, the soundtrack is provided by Ebony, Mateus Fazeno Rock, Silvanno Salles, Timbalada, Fat Family singing Tim Maia, and Larissa Luz. Tickets are now available on the platform Sympla, with prices ranging between R$75 and R$360. There is also the option of social admission, with a discount upon delivery of 1kg of non-perishable food. In addition to the musical attractions, the AFROPUNK Brazil 2024 promises a complete experience with Bahian cuisine tasting, activations from partner brands and the glamorous Black Carpet.
20 years ago, the AFROPUNK transcends music, becoming a symbol of authentic encounters and celebration of reference Afro-diasporic culture. Since its debut in Brazil in 2021, in Salvador, the festival has established itself as one of the most important in the country. In 2023, it generated R$19 million in the local economy and attracted an audience of 50 thousand people. Tickets, available now from Sympla, cost between R$75 and R$150 for the Arena sector, and between R$180 and R$360 for the Lounge. The festival also offers social tickets, which cost between R$90 and R$216.
