Participation of the Nóbrega Family

Gabriel at the command of the keyboards, he presents together the songs from the new project and the successes of his career Jabes Felipe (drums), Ricardinho Paraíso (Bass), Franci Oliver (percussion), Sintia Piccin (tenor sax and flute), Philip Aires (trumpet), Igor Bollos AND Gileno Foinquinos (guitar). The show will also contain many surprises, including dancers, in some songs, and the more than illustrious presence of the entire Nóbrega family.

For those who don’t know, Gabriel he is the son of Antonio Nobrega and explains what this participation will be like: “It will be the first time that my family will participate in one of my shows in a scripted and organized way. Everything has been thought of, lights, sounds and special effects. My father will sing and play the tambourine and violin, my mother will sing come as a dancer and my daughter won’t be outdone either, she’ll play the drums.”

The process lasted three years, starting from the period of the pandemic: “It is an album with songs without a defined genre, with very tight curves and a longer duration than the music market is used to,” explains Gabriel Nobrega. “Although it is an album of instrumental music, it is a work that aims to position itself politically. In a composition, from the choice of rhythm to the accent of the melody, everything has a reason and can be questioned”He adds.

Although the sound continues to maintain traditional influences ranging from jazz, funky, rock AND pop to the rhythms of popular cultureAS frevo, maracatu AND baythe new sound is more danceable than the previous ones: “The band’s lineup has changed compared to the first work, we have matured the sound. New members have arrived who have recycled the sound”explains. “We now have two guitars, but the most significant renovations were the addition of Oliver on percussion and Cynthia on saxophone, after many years two women joined and this has greatly changed the internal dynamics of rehearsals, conversations and exploration Musically the female energy is really different and brought a lot of maturity to the production.”

“The expectations for the show couldn’t be higher. We will bring a new proposition of band, sound and format. We want to reap the benefits after the show. Let’s launch it into the universe and see what awaits us next”concludes the musician.
