“Put on a show, come back, I don’t think so. But Rouge will be eternal”the singer explained in an interview with the program TV room, From Earththis Wednesday, 12.
“We’ve talked so much about making a DVD, well, there’s always the possibility of doing something, but I think Rouge is no longer suited to the current market,” he said.
“It’s hard to think of where we could create something, do something. I think fans are always hopeful, always waiting for something and everything because there is this nostalgia,” Li commented.
The singer revealed that whenever one of the members posts something related to the group, fans create a stir. One example was a Mother’s Day photo of her, Aline, and Fantine. “This is enough for everyone to have hope,” she joked.
“No, there’s nothing at first. We are not putting on a show, we are not preparing anything for now, but Rouge is always a box of surprises, ”she explained. “When I imagined, having just given birth, that I would be with Antonella for 40 days, and, suddenly, they send me a message on WhatsApp: ‘Let’s make a Rouge Tea’. So today I say no, but maybe in 40 days I don’t know. Never knew!”.
Li also commented that, during Carnival, they did a test to see if there was the possibility of a permanent return, but they realized that, for the current market, the group would not be commercial. “The effort, dedication, investment and everything that is needed to make things happen today is not worth it. It’s not advantageous. Maybe one-off projects, eventually, like celebrating 15, 20 years. Sometimes it may be worth it, but a return for us to the current market, I don’t know, I don’t see where the Rouge fits in,” she explained.
