A new study chooses the 10 “father of rock” bands, with Blink-182, Nickelback and Nirvana; see the list


The study interviewed more than 3 thousand people in the United States; listen to the hits of the most popular groups

A study published by the geek product shop Mercoid determined the top ten “dad rock” bands of all time. The research was conducted on 3 thousand people in the United States. They had to answer the question: “What band really embodies dad rock these days?”.

Nomenclature was used by young people to define the sound their parents heard. And the responses were surprising, given that many of these parents grew up in the ’90s and chose older groups. OR Nickelbackfounded in 1995, it led the poll with 26% of the vote.

The content also reveals the winning bands in each state in North America. Coldplay was also on the list, with the most votes in South Dakota, West Virginia and Maine. See the top 10.

1. Nickelback

5. Nirvana

10. Limp Bizkit

The nu metal band born in Florida in 1994 also participated in the latest edition of Lollapalooza Brasil. With more than 40 million albums sold worldwide, he has achieved hits such as rolling AND Behind the blue eyes (The Who cover).
