Rock in Rio Lisboa 2024 begins its special edition this Saturday (15/6), celebrating the 20th anniversary of the festival on Portuguese soil. To celebrate the commemorative date, the event, which will take place on 15, 16, 22 and 23 June at Parque Tejo Lisboa, was broadcast live on the official Rock in Rio YouTube channel and can also be followed by the Brazilian public.

Only some shows can be seen live. Confirmed artists include Ed Sheeran, Doja Cat, Evanescent, Jão, Ivete Sangalo, Luísa Sonza, Pedro Sampaio, Europe, Living Color, Hybrid Theory and Jake Bugg.
In addition to the music broadcasts, the event also has on-site coverage. Content creators Foquinha and duo Diva Depressão are present at Lisbon’s Cidade do Rock, bringing exclusive content for fans, much of it in the traditional Brazilian “subscription” style.
Festival program
This Saturday (6/15), the program features heavy rock bands such as Scorpions, Evanescent, Extreme and Europe, as well as a special performance by veteran Portuguese rock band Xutos & Pontapés with the Orquestra Filarmônica Portuguesa. On Sunday (16th), the highlights are light pop from Ed Sheeran, Calum Scott, Jão, Lukas Graham and Jake Bugg.
Next week, the festival will feature eclectic performances from Ivete Sangalo, Jonas Brothers, Macklemore, Carolina Deslandes, James, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Dilsinho on Saturday (6/22), and Doja Cat, Camila Cabello, NE-YO, Luísa Sonza, Pedro Sampaio, MC Cabelinho and Veigh on Sunday (23/6).
