“Us” is part of Gracie’s second album, “The Secret of Us,” released this Friday
Gracie Abrams released the duet “Us” with Taylor Swift this Friday (6/21). The song is the fifth track from her second album, titled “The Secret of Us”, which also released on platforms this Friday. Production is by Aaron Dessner, of the band The National, who also produced Taylor’s albums “Folklore” and “Evermore”, in 2020, and Gracie’s “Good Riddance”, in 2023.
Partnership details
In the song, Abrams and Swift’s voices intertwine in a ballad, accompanied only by piano and acoustic guitar. Gracie leads most of the vocals, while Swift offers a few lead lines. The romantic lyrics address the end of a secret relationship and the regrets that emerge over time, common themes in both artists’ songs.
The collaboration marks yet another partnership between the two, after Gracie opened for Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” shows in several U.S. cities last year.
