Julio Foolioartistic name of Charles Joneswas killed in an ambush in a parking lot just hours after celebrating his 26th birthday, in Tampa, Florida, in the United States, last Saturday (22).
According to the The Daily Mailthe police were called to respond to an incident at 4:40 am this Sunday (23), with information that one person had died and three were injured in the parking lot of a Holiday Inn hotel.
The death of Foolio was confirmed by the artist’s lawyer, Lewis Fusco. Just hours before he was killed, the artist used social media to thank him for another year of life: “God, thank you for allowing me to see another year and celebrate another birthday”he wrote on X, the old Twitter. “I appreciate all the birthday wishes so far.”
Rising in the world of rap, the artist accumulated around 1 million followers on Instagram and was known for his controversial lyrics, which addressed violent themes, including fights between gangs in his hometown, Jacksonville.
