This Tuesday (25), singer V, of the k-pop group BTS, surprised fans by announcing a new musical project called TYPE 1.
While it hasn’t been announced whether the announcement will be for a song or an album, the project already has a release date.
The poster, shared on social media, contains a photo showing Kim Taehyung shirtless leaning against the wall, with his hand holding the waistband of his trousers.
It’s worth noting that V released his first post-military enlistment single in March, FRIENDSwhich was written entirely in English.
The song followed his EP Stopover September 2023, which the K-pop star released a few months before starting his mandatory military service in the South Korean army alongside bandmates RM, Jimin, Jung Kook, Jin, J-Hope and Suga.
It is worth mentioning that V had previously confirmed that he had some projects to start during his time in the military. In a letter written in December 2023, he stated that “prepared a lot of things” for the 18 month enlistment period.
The launch of Type 1 is scheduled for July 9th.
BTS: V stars in a commercial with Jackie Chan
Last Friday (1) a new commercial for an Indonesian investment platform starring the singer aired VFrom BTS and the actor Jackie Chan.
The Korean singer, who is completing his mandatory military enlistment, was announced as the brand ambassador and appears interacting and dancing alongside the actor.
It is worth mentioning that BTS group’s activities will resume in 2025.
