Nanno is the stage name of Julianbut it could also be the name of a mineral, just as it happened aluminum, titanium, tin, nickel, niobium…And it is right there, in the land of minerals, in Volta Redonda, in the Sud Fluminense region of Rio de Janeiro, that this is born “mine” of pop.

The second album in the discography of Nanno, Minium sessionswhich arrives on digital platforms via Universal Music this Friday (28), is a tribute from the artist to his homeland: ‘It’s a city whose economic base is a large steel mill. While it has wealth, on the other hand there is also air and noise pollution, as well as that constant climate of living amidst a building ferment.’ Minerium’ is anger, chaos and emotion, feelings that I bring from where I come from”reveals the singer.

The album tells fragments of the life of Nanno so far. In his lyrics, the young artist shares themes such as mental health, existential emptiness, drugs, love, desperation AND resilience. The sound of the album also shows some influences from music icons, such as Charlie Brown Jr, MacMiller, ConeCrew AND Djavanwhich played a significant role in the singer’s musical journey.

Minium Sessionswhich has a total of 10 tracksbrings together the repertoire of the two EPs presented respectively in April and May of this year. All the songs were written mostly by Dwarf or in collaboration with other authors.

In addition to the six tracks already available, the album features four new songs AND Copyright: Thinking about Wein collaboration with Papatinho, Buddha AND Califfa; Fragrance of flowerscomposition of the artist with Greg AND Gagé; From abovewritten by Nanno, Jhama AND Donat; AND I do not give upwritten by the singer.

Recorded in studio, at St. Paulthe project features a more intimate audiovisual, with Nanno accompanied by his band, and was produced and arranged by Ricardo Lopeswho has worked with great artists such as Ivete Sangalo, Projota, Paula Fernandes ANDCesare Menotti and Fabiano.

The song is a moving narrative about the struggles and triumphs of Nanno: “‘Tempo’ is about my father, who passed away in 2014, and the artistic paths I’ve followed so far. It’s a song about me not giving up and that I can do it all again, if I need to.” . It’s a song that represents strength and hope, attitude and “reactivity”. Many would have given up in different battles, but not me.says the singer.

The second EP arrived that day May 17thor, with three other tracks: Waves happen sometimes AND Fog. Along with the release of the EP, the singer also premiered on his channel the three respective music videos of the project Youtube.
