The unprecedented situation faced by the Irish singer was recorded on video; Appearance
The Irish singer Niall Horan went through a curious situation last weekend, when he performed in Toronto, Canada. Stuck in traffic near the Scotiabank Arena, where he was scheduled to take the stage later, the musician had to get out of his car and walk to avoid delaying the show. The inconvenience, however, did not bother the former One Direction member, who showed good humor and recorded his journey on video; Check out the gallery below:
“Traffic in Toronto is really bad, so we’ll have to walk to the venue. In all the years I’ve been performing, I don’t think I’ve ever had to walk,” he said.
In the video, his walk was also accompanied by a carefully chosen track: the song “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)”, by the Scottish band The Proclaimers. The song highlights how devoted the lyrical self is to his lady love, saying that he would walk 500 miles just to get to his crush’s door.
The situation, although unprecedented for Horan, is not that unusual. Last year, for example, singer Alexandre Pires ran about 2 km to reach the Convention Center, in Recife, where he was going to perform. Like the former member of One Direction, the Brazilian also recorded the situation on video and joked: “There was no way. The old man must remember the good times as a marathon runner”; Appearance:
On tour with his latest album, The Show, Horan will perform in Brazil in September: first in Sao Paulo, at Parque Ibirapuera, on the 28th; and, the following day, in Rio de Janeiro, at the Rioarena. The singer is expected to include in his setlist not only singles but also Paradise AND Fusionas well as songs from his previous solo albums.
