The young hardcore band approved by Demi Lovato and Billie Eilish

In 2023, speaking to Metal Ambassador Podcastfrom SiriusXM, the singer – who has been turning to punk/hardcore in her recent works – mentioned the band when asked about collaborations she would like to do after the remix album Revamped.

Lovato said:

“Someone I’ve always wanted to work with is Corey Taylor from Slipknot. And, you know, obviously a band like Knocked Loose would be crazy too. It’s something that’s on my bucket list. We’re still working on it, though.”

The Slipknot vocalist himself, mentioned by Demi, placed Knocked Loose on a list of current bands recommended by him to the magazine Metal Hammeralso in 2023. He also cited Sleep Token, Turnstile, Bad Omens and Code Orange, among others.

Knocked Loose bursting the bubble

Such mentions from established idols served as proof that Knocked Loose has “burst the bubble”, as seen in their recent release. In a specific Spotify ranking, they managed to knock down the all-powerful Taylor Swifteven if momentarily (via Igor Miranda website).

The single “Suffocate,” from the aforementioned most recent album, reached #10 on Spotify’s Viral 50 USA chart just 5 days after its release. The previous promotional song, “Don’t Reach For Me,” also made the list at #43.
