One of the main names in Brazilian trap and part of the artist catalog of 30PRAUM beside Matuê It is Roof, WIU surprised many fans with the sudden release of Luxury Vagabondthe second studio album of his career, last Wednesday, the 10th.
Before the album in question hit music streaming platforms, the 22-year-old artist only released one single, titled “Queen of Finesse.” Unlike the debut work, entitled How to Love Wrong Manual (2022), Luxury Vagabond account with letters higher up.
In a statement to Rolling Stone Brazil, WIU explained how the main word that defines the album is “energy,” which is reflected in both the lyrics and the beats. After the overwhelming success of How to Love Wrong Manualthe rapper is feeling “refreshing.”
In fact, all the mystery that surrounded the work was intentional, to show the level of his art. “I wanted to release a song that didn’t reveal, didn’t give the album into the hands of whoever is listening, but that gave an idea of the level of quality, of the potential that the person can expect from my album and I feel that the ‘Queen of Finesse‘ was perfect for this,” he said.
