Contrary to what Melody has been hinting at on social media, Anitta is not her new manager. The young singer’s career negotiations ended over a year ago, according to Anitta’s publicist.
Official clarification
Poderosa’s advisor denied the information that she was in talks to become the young woman’s manager, after Melody published the video of a virtual meeting with Anitta. The video published this Friday (7/12) highlighted Anitta’s praise and plans. Melody created suspense by stating on the sidelines of the publication that she would bring “news soon”.
Belinho, the artist’s father, confirmed that he was talking to Anitta, but that the contract had not yet been signed.
However, the announced meeting took place in 2023 and the project did not move forward. “This meeting took place almost a year ago to discuss a possible partnership with Melody, but the idea was rejected by Rodamoinho, Anitta’s office,” reads a press release.
Musical collaboration
Anitta and Melody have a long history of trading, and they ended the virtual fight with their first official collaboration earlier this year, in the song “Mil Vezes – Remix”. The track is a piseiro version of Anitta’s song “Mil Vezes”.
