Investment of R$1.5 million will benefit bands that present original compositions
Rockers from Rio de Janeiro: tune your guitars and get your drumsticks ready. The State Secretariat for Culture and Creative Economy (Sececrj) launched the “Esse Tal de Rock’n Roll” call for applications this Friday, the 12th, offering 30 spots to bands in this musical genre.
Each successful proposal will be awarded R$50,000, totaling an investment of R$1.5 million in Rio de Janeiro’s culture. Registration will be open from 9 am on July 15th until 6 pm on August 12th.
We will promote bands from all over Rio de Janeiro with a specific call for entries for the rock segment, which is a sector that plays a fundamental role in our culture both in terms of historical representation and musical relevance. Who can apply
The call for proposals is aimed at legal entities or MEIs and will include rock music groups that present original compositions. The band may also have, on its team, technical and artistic professionals directly or indirectly involved in the preparation and execution of the proposal. Proponents must plan to perform shows in at least two cities in Rio de Janeiro.
Rating criteria
The following criteria will be used to evaluate the proposals: quality of the project; relevance of the proposal to the state’s cultural scene; aspects of community integration in the proposed action; coherence of the budget spreadsheet and the execution schedule; coherence of the dissemination and democratization of access actions in the schedule, objectives and goals; artistic and cultural trajectory of the band; and compatibility of the technical sheet with the activities developed.
