Sand paper reached up 7.1 million plays on digital platforms in the US, as well as an audience of 22,000 people on radio broadcasts in the country. The single was also sold 1,000 downloads in its first week, according to Luminate data.

The owner of the classics likes Born to Run, the Streets of Philadelphia AND Dancing in the Dark was on tour with E Street Band but announced the same day May 25th that the three shows he was due to perform in the aforementioned cities would have to be cancelled due to his vocal problems.
“Hey, this is Bruce Springsteen. I’m in Marseille. Unfortunately I couldn’t sing for you, but we’ll be back in Marseille, Prague and Milan to give you the show of your life. I promise,” said the singer in a video shared on Instagram.
