Halsey Reveals Release Date For Single ‘Lucky’

Last Wednesday (17), singer Halsey revealed the release date of her new single, Lucky. She also shared the album cover, a blurry pink photo of her face, with 2000s-inspired sparkles.

The nostalgic cover matches the sample of the hit of Britney Spears of the year 2000, Luckyan ode to the lonelier side of fame.

“She’s so lucky, she’s a star/ But she cries, cries, cries in her lonely heart, thinking/ If there’s nothing missing in my life/ Then why do these tears come at night?”Halsey sings the chorus.

It’s worth noting that she had already shared the song in early July with an excerpt of the chorus on Instagram. “When I was 5, I always felt like Britney was singing directly to me. 24 years later, these words sound different. I will always love you”he wrote in the caption of the publication.

The song by Britney Spears was released on July 25, 2000, as the second single from her second studio album. The song’s composers are Max Martin, Rami Yacoub and Alexander Kronlund. Lucky tells the story of a famous actress with the same name who seemingly has everything, but feels unhappy and alone.

It’s worth noting that the song will officially hit digital platforms on July 26.

Halsey Shares Snippet of New Song on Social Media

Singer Halsey surprised her followers when she shared, on her social networks, a snippet of a new song that she will present champions a great success for pop star Britney Spears.

The singer of 29 years old showed off her bright pink hair in the shared video and wore a simple white t-shirt that read Lucky (lucky) printed on the front.
