Backstreet Boys announce first Christmas album for 2022

DNA’s successor, A Very Backstreet Christmas will feature re-recordings of iconic Christmas songs – and previously unreleased

For the first time in his career, Backstreet Boys will release a Christmas album in 2022, entitled A Very Backstreet Christmasa collection of Christmas classics plus three unreleased tracks, according to information from billboard. The American group’s last LP was DNA, released in 2019.

For their first Christmas album and first studio effort in three years, the boy band recorded “White Christmas,” “silent night,” “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” and other timeless songs from the commemorative date, as well as new songs: “Christmas In New York,” “together” and “happy days.” The record releases in October 2022.

“We’ve had this desire to make a Christmas record for almost 30 years and we’re very excited that it will finally happen,” said the co-founder. Howie Dorough in a statement. “We had such a fun experience putting our touch Backstreet Boys in some of our favorite Christmas classics and we can’t wait to be a part of our fans’ holiday season.”

Drake Joins The Backstreet Boys To Perform ‘I Want It That Way’

Backstreet Boys had an illustrious participation in a show last Saturday, 2. Drake joined the boyband to sing the hit “I Want It That Way” at the performance in his native Toronto (Canada).

Before singing, the rapper told the story of his relationship with the track: “At the age of 13, I had my bar mitzvah [cerimônia judaica], where a girl I was in love with came to me while one of the best songs in the world was playing. She asked if I wanted to dance with her.”

“That was the first time I felt noticed. It was the first time I had a chance to try to be nice. ‘I Want It That Way,’ one of the greatest songs of all time,” Drake completed.

The unusual participation also had excerpts from the success “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” by the rapper. Watch it below:
