Judas Priest frontman diagnosed with cancer in 2020
Rob Halfordlead singer of Judas Prieststated that his cancer remains in remission. In 2021, he explained that he received the diagnosis while in lockdown in 2020.
“I always take the opportunity to thank the Lord for still being here, but also my great medical team,” he said in an interview with LifeMinute (via NME). “And guys, be proactive. Make sure you get your blood work done, get your PSA checked [antígeno prostático específico]. I couldn’t believe the efficiency, love, care and attention that health professionals give to each of us.”
“I had my prostate removed. I was on some medication, and a follow-up treatment found some other things, so we had to do two months of radiation,” he continued. “You do what you have to do. The important thing is to stay positive, stay upbeat.”
I love my family, my healthcare professionals who want the best for me… So you can get through this. To anyone going through this right now, keep that heavy metal faith. With all due care, diligence and attention, you will survive.
