The band green Day released the music video for the new single Corvette Summerwith the participation of Mark Hamillknown worldwide as Luke Skywalker from the saga Star Wars.
The video pays homage to the film One Car, One Boy, One Girl (1978), which featured Hamill in the lead role. In addition to the actor, the clip also includes appearances by the comedian Hannibal Buress and the band members themselves.

The single is part of Green Day’s latest album, Saviorsreleased in January 2024. Directed by Ryan Baxley and Brendan Walterthe video adopts a car racing aesthetic and pays homage to cult films. The band commented on the creative and low-budget production, highlighting the use of cardboard boxes and other improvised resources to create a nostalgic and fun visual.
The song is named after one of our favorite cult classic films, so it only made sense to pay homage to it with the music video. We went over budget on it, so we had to get creative with cardboard boxes, some duct tape, and toy cars we found in the basement.” The band wrote: ”Buckle up and enjoy the ride!”
This release accompanies the announcement of new tour dates Saviorswhich includes presentations at Japan in 2025.
The full music video is available on Green Day’s official channel at YouTube.
