The Mercury Music Prize is an annual music award given to the best album in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The nominees for the Mercury Prize 2024 were announced this Thursday (25). A diverse selection of artists competing for the British music award. This year, the list includes names such as Charli XCX and The Last Dinner Party, among others. The winner will be revealed in September.

The selection is made by an independent panel of judges, made up of music critics, musicians and other industry professionals. This year, eligible albums were released between 15 July 2023 and 12 July 2024.

O Mercury Prizeis one of the most respected awards in British and Irish music, and is celebrated for recognising creative excellence across a range of musical genres. This year, the event will be covered by BBC Musicwhich provides radio and TV coverage.
Last year the award was given to Ezra Collective by the album Where I’m Meant To BeAnticipation for this year’s winner is high, and music fans are eagerly awaiting the announcement in September.
