The song “Hello World” tries to portray the grandeur of the sporting event and the importance of bringing people together
Singers Gwen Stefani and Anderson .Paak have joined forces to develop the theme song for the Paris Olympic Games. The song “Hello World” seeks to portray the greatness of athletes and the unity of people in global competitions.
The song was released on Thursday (25/7) along with the music video on the official profile of the competition. In the images, the singers appear while dancing and having fun on the set, while recorded excerpts of important moments of the Olympics appear.
“Hello World” was written and produced by Ryan Tedder, former lead singer of the band OneRepublic, in collaboration with Coca-Cola, a major sponsor of the sporting event. The theme song should be heard frequently in the coming weeks.
“Games are an important way for us to meet. I wrote [a letra] with that in mind. It’s not every day you get an opportunity like this. I hope it inspires people,” Tedder noted in an interview with Billboard magazine.
The opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games will take place this Friday (26/7), starting at 2pm, broadcast live on Globo, SporTv and Globoplay.
